- Fenton, Hall & Co. was a brickmaking firm in Bennington, Vermont. The partners were Julius Norton, Christopher Webber Fenton, and Henry D. Hall. They began their partnership in 1846, but dissolved it in 1847 or 1848. They produced Rockingham ware and what is now known as Bennington ware. Their wares were stamped Norton & Fenton. The firm also produced bricks. Afther the dissolution of the firm, Fenton formed a new partnership with Alanson Lyman. This firm was the first in the United States to produce Parian ware. In the 1850 and 1860 census, Henry F. Dewey was listed as a paper box manufacturer, age 68. He was born in Windham, Connecticut in 1800, married Emma Loomis in 1829, and died in Bennington in 1882.
