- Description
- Five interior and one exterior photos of an unidentified home show the library, a sitting or living room, a portion of the grounds, the stair hall, a smoking room, and the dining room. The walls of the library are lined with book-filled shelves and decorated with paintings and small statues. The furniture is in a mix of styles. Maurice and Margaret Maxell Tuttle were possible owners of the house. The Tuttles had a least one son, Wallace Forbes Tuttle, born December 10, 1917, in Clockville, Madison County, New York. Wallace died May 3, 2003, in Oneida. A note (written long after the photos were taken) tucked into the group identifies the sitting room as the place where Maurice Johnson Tuttle and Margaret A. Maxwell were married on January 17, 1916. Tuttle grew up in Syracuse.
