Trade Catalogs
Trade catalogs and literature were produced or published by manufacturers to advertise and sell their products. These materials provide an important source to study the history of design, manufacturing, advertising, and consumption.
The Winterthur Library’s extensive collection of trade literature is comprised of both manuscript and printed material, dating from the eighteenth century through the twentieth century.
